Hey there! Today I am taking you along on a tour of my craft room / office to share organization tips and share ideas. I found that I stay most organized with lots of drawers instead of shelves, but finding what works for you is key to creating a happy and organized space. Also, crafting and creating videos has slowly become my job, so I have lots of supplies and invested in a room that keeps me organized and efficient. When I first started crafting, I was down in the basement on a folding table with a few inks and one stamp set, but I absolutely loved it!

ISLAND | WORK SURFACE
For my desk, I wanted a large work surface that had lots of storage underneath. I ordered a custom kitchen island with a laminate top and lots of drawer space. I used Klearvue Cabinetry… Did it turn out nice? Yes! However, these cabinets took a long time, lots of tools, trips to the hardware store, problem solving, and a really smart engineer father to put together. So, would I recommend them? No.
Because this is an office, I have a TV on my desk that hooks up to my camera as I film. This helps me make sure that I am always in frame while I create and film a crafting project. I also use a Blue Yeti mic for all my voice overs and recording… (I didn’t use it in this video), but I love the sound quality that it gives.
In my drawers, I keep things organized with little containers to separate items. In this drawer, I have a Boon organizer for all of my tools and different Inter Design containers to hold card panels (here) and adhesives (here).
INK PAD STORAGE
I love ink and use it on almost every crafty project! So, I needed a good storage that would hold them nicely and make them accessible as I am working. I discovered Stamp n’ Storage and instantly fell in love with their storage units. The units are a great quality wood and are very sturdy with a great hanging system on the back for wall mounting. I bought a 120 ink unit and fell in love, so I went back to buy another!
BACK DRAWERS
As crafters, we tend to have lots of smaller bottles and jars that can get lost in large drawers or bins. So, I like these Ikea Alex drawer units that have lots of smaller drawers to store these items. We mounted four (2 wide units and 2 slim units) drawer units on a base to make the units counter height. The wider units are shorter which made room for cubbies that are great for larger tools or paper that I use often.
I find Interdesign containers really helpful for organization. In one of the drawers, I used this unit to store my Nuvo mousse jars perfectly! Finding small containers to store items in your craft room helps to stay organized and put things away easily!
NUVO DROP | SMALL BOTTLE STORAGE
LOTS of people ask me about this unit that I use to store my Nuvo Drops and I thought I should clear the air. It is a bit expensive, but it a solid acrylic unit that holds tons of Nuvo Drops or other small bottles and displays them nicely on the counter.
LARGE CABINET
I stay really organized with drawers, so my cabinet has large pull out drawers that make it easy to store larger items and see everything on each shelf. I store my paper, stamps, dies, cleaners, finished cards, and extra supplies in the cabinet using lots of Interdesign containers to stay organized. This cabinet also came from Klearvue Cabinetry.
If you would like to see more in-depth videos on any area in my space let me know and I would love to share it!

Love your room!
A great room and its very organized.
Thank you for sharing your craft room. I love it. Just was at IKEA and wish I’d gotten the ALEX drawers, but I did get the Glasholm glass desk top. Reorganizing my craft space and found your video and links helpful. Where do you get your label maker cassettes?
Love your craft room! You have really put some thought into it. Where did you get the double cabinet with the pull out drawers that you have your stamps/dies in?
Great room–I have the Alex cart, just one, in my room. Great ink storage, but I thought Distress oxide inks had to be stored flat. I do store my regular distress inks on the side, but oxides I keep lid up and flat. I thought I heard Tim say that in a video and apparently Ranger has said there could be separation of the pigment so they recommend storing them flat. Didn’t know if you were aware of this.
I love how organized your room is! I too would love to know where you got the double doored cabinet with the pull out shelves.
Yes indeed: where did you get the big cabinet with the roll out drawers?? Inquiring crafters eant to replace their bookshe- would like to know 😉
Hi Simon! Great craft room! You are such an inspiration, thanks for sharing with all of us!!
I love all your great organizing tips, love the Jennifer McGuire references (she’s awesome too!). I was wondering about your tall cabinet with pullout drawers from Klearvue Cabinentry, how much was the cost of that units particular set-up/configurations and did you ship it or drive to pick it up? Thank you in advance for your help! Loved your video!
Sincerely,
Kim H.
Love the tour! In the video, you refer to the tiny vacuum that stay charged up in the corner of one area. Please let me know what kind that is; I would love to know. Also, you have a fabulous room. Thanks for sharing! Great tour!
Love your space! Do you think the Nuvo drop holder would also hold Stickles bottles?
I love that vacuum cleaner. It is the greatest for the craft room, isn’t it?
I love your cupboard with the sliding pull-out shelves. Did you buy it or make it?
Great room tour. Thanks for sharing.
