Hi there! Lately, I have been loving making shaped edges on my cards, but today I am going to show how to create several different examples of fully shaped cards with large stamps from Brutus Monroe! 🙂
I started off these cards by using large images and stamping them on the edge of card bases (the folded side). This ensures that when you cut both layers the image will stay together and you will have an intact card!
For the first example, I used the large flower stamp from the beautiful Conservatory Of Quotes stamp set. I stamped two portions of the image off the edge so that the card will have extra support on the fold.
For the second card, I used the Rockstar pets stamp set and stamped the large playful kitty stamp off the edge. This didn’t have much of detailed cutting on the edge, but it’s super fun and playful!
I colored all of the images on the cards using Copic Sketch Markers to get great blending and super bright colors.
For the final card example, I took smaller house stamps from the Home Sweet Home stamp set and combined them on and acrylic block to stamp them onto the card. This is a great was to used smaller stamps to get the same fun shaped card effect!
I finished off the cards by adding some Glossy Accents to the glasses, windows, and some shadow areas on the flowers. This just adds some dimension and texture (I also have an extreme addiction to Glossy Accents)! 🙂
