Hi there! Every once in a while I love to just make a fun and random video using some cardmaking supplies and giving myself a challenge (if you don’t like these types of videos, no need to worry I don’t create them often). Today, I thought it would be fun to blindfold myself and see how good of a card I could create… here are the results. 🙂
I started off by cutting one layer of the paper layering Koi Fish die out of my card layer. This cuts out the fins, head, tail, and gills which you can pop out a bit on the card for some dimension. Then, I watercolored the fish layer using Gansai Tambi watercolors to get some bright colors (this was difficult when blindfolded). Finally, I stamped a sentiment in a fun script font using the You Are My Happy stamp set which turned out surprisingly well seeing I can barely stamp on watercolor cardstock without a blindfold! 🙂
Enjoy the video!

Cute idea! Fun to watch!
Omg this was hysterical! Just the laugh that i needed today! 😂 YOU ARE TOO CUTE! 😉
Oh my gosh…………….this was really funny and entertaining! Who would ever think to try to make a card blindfolded? LOL I have a hard enough time laying things out when I a looking right at it!! Brought a smile to my face….:)
LOL so funny. I haven’t tried blindfolded card making, but if I need a pick me up, I could probably try the blindfolded technique :o).
I enjoyed watching your video of making a card blindfolded, Simon! So much fun to watch and you had me laughing the whole time. Thank you for creating art and sharing your journey!
Simon, this was too funny! I think my favorite part was when you stuck your finger in the inkpad. The card design looks to me like a peacock and can I tell you how many times I have messed up a card after trying to pull it off the base after sticking it down, and I wasn’t blindfolded the way you were. Great video!
You crack me up! This is great! I think my favorite part was when you took off the blindfold and saw your card! You’re awesome!
I really enjoyed watching this video, too funny. My favorite part was when you were painting and hoping you had the yellow then the red and the colors weren’t at all what you thought. It was great, thanks for this fun video.
