Hi there! I have invested a lot into colorful ink pads because I love them. However, sometimes I struggle to use them to their fullest potential. So, today I am going to share 4 ways to use inks directly onto cardstock to create fun, colorful, and organic designs!

For all of the cards, I used Simon Says Stamp inks in super bright colors however, you can switch up the colors or ink pad brands to create designs that suit your style. Also, if you want to make some of the designs have cleaner lines you can use a ruler to line up the inkpads.
For the first card, I swiped the corner of the ink pad back and forth down the card to get a messy, paint-like look. It looks different every time and you can change up the pressure to get a darker or chalkier look!
On the second example, I used the side of the ink pad and created some messy vertical stripes down the card. I love the thick and thin line variation, but if you want them straighter and more even you could use a ruler against the ink pad.
For the third card, I created a fun plaid design (this one is my favorite)! I swiped various colors of the inks using the corner across the page diagonally. Then, I flipped the page and repeated the process (keep a light pressure so both color layers are visible).
Finally, I created a card using a bit of my ink pad as a stamp to get the texture and color pattern. I just pressed part of the ink pad onto the cardstock and repeated the process until I got a fun and colorful design.
