Hi there! Today I am excited to share 6 different cardmaking life hacks to fix your mistakes and salvage your card projects. We are all guilty of making mistakes on card projects, but these tips definitely help salvage some of the card masterpieces!

Here are the hacks:

1. Removing ink spots: Ink spots are hard to avoid when working with white cardstock, but they can be removed pretty easily. I like to use a fine grit sandpaper or a sand eraser to lightly remove the top layer of ink on the cardstock. Once the ink is removed, I use an eraser to smooth out the cardstock and nobody will know about your mistake!
2. Covering ink spots: If you have too many ink spots to cover or don’t want to try sanding them, you can easily cover them up with embellishments. I like to use Nuvo Crystal Drops or sequins to easily cover up ink spots, but there are many fun embellishments you could use.
3. Fixing coloring: Coloring outside the lines or having markers bleed is hard to avoid, but you can easily cover them up to fix your coloring masterpiece. Once my coloring is finished, I like to go over any color outside the lines with a white gel pen and it blends them into the cardstock to make your coloring look perfect!
4. Fixing cut edges: It can be hard to cut perfectly around images and it leaves the white cardstock core showing. However, to make it look more cohesive and finished you can go around the edge with a black marker to match the stamped lines.
5. Saving card rips: If you want to change something on your card, ripping it can be your worst nightmare. So, when creating your card don’t push the panels down fully until you’ve made up your mind. That way if you want to change something, it won’t rip your card.
6. Saving glue smears: I change my mind a ton when adhering sequins and other embellishments and I tend to need to wipe off the glue without a mark. For this I use Multi Matte Medium which dries clear and matte and has a strong bond.
