Window Shaker Cards

Hi there! Today’s video shows how to create window cards easily with interactive dies and an array of colorful sequins and embellishments. If you struggle to create these interactive cards I have a few tips to share along the way that can help make the process easier!

For the first card, I used the Peekaboo Windows dies to create an interactive card that reveals the shaker on the inside. There are a ton of dies in this set, so you can have fun with a bunch of windows! I used the biggest window die to create a little chicken coop on the inside. Then, I quickly colored images from the Birdie Friends stamp set using Copic Markers and adhered them to the inside of the cut-out window.

For both of the cards, I adhered a piece of a large stamp pocket on the back of the window behind the images. I like using the pockets because they are a nice quality thick plastic and I am able to use them in many shaker cards. I added a piece of fun foam to the back with a hole cut out the size of the window opening. This saves money and you don’t have to use up all of your foam tape. Finally, I filled the card with a variety of different sequins (linked below) and sealed off the window with a card base.

For the second example, I used the Stitched Pieces die to create three window openings with faux stitched edges (that I love)! I also stamped and colored images from the Fox Friends stamp set and cut them out using the coordinating dies. To finish off this card, I repeated the same process, but I created three separate openings for colorful sequins to shake around in.
