Hi there! Today I am very excited to share a couple different ways that I like to mount little critters onto colorful card backgrounds without losing the image in the distracting background. This video is also part of a blog hop with Emily Leiphart, stay tuned to find out more info! 🙂
For all of the cards, I blended the colorful backgrounds using various stencils and bright Catherine Pooler ink pads. Have fun playing around with color combinations, it’s just paper so you can always trash it!
I cut a diagonal panel with white cardstock for each card. This gives the critters a place to stand and creates a contrasting background.
Here are some card examples, Have fun playing around with designs and changing them up! For these cards, I used and colored the Sloth Love digital stamp and Willy And Friends stamp set.
Here are the other two variations that I created with warmer colors. For these cards, I used the Surf And Turf stamp set and the Into The Woods stamp set. I love how all of these cards turned out and I hope you will give this technique a try!
