Coloring Texture Paste ft. SOA

Hey there! I am SO excited to be participating today in the Stamp Of Approval “Young At Heart” collection blog hop. I will be creating a card using the HB2U stamp set and Harleen stencil from the collection.

Today’s video will show you a quick and easy way to use and color texture paste through a stencil. I love the look of texture paste and I don’t use it often but today was a special occasion!

To create the colorful “frosting” like background I colored the texture paste using Distress Inks in the following colors: Abandoned Coral, Fossilized Amber, and Mermaid Lagoon. I love these colors together to create some fun blends! I made the colors really soft, but if you want a darker color, just add more Distress Ink.

Next, I stamped my sentiment in Versamark and heat embossed it with Gilded powder. To adhere it, fold the edges and pull them to the back with adhesive. If you don’t want the vellum to stick out in the front, add some adhesive behind the heat embossed areas.

Finally, I popped up the panel on foam tape for some extra dimension and placed it onto a top folding card base.

Stamp Of Approval is a quarterly box jam packed with goodies that you can use over and over on all of your stamping projects. With no instructions in the box, you are able to make as many cards as you want and let your creativity run wild! The products in this special box will not be released until much later in 2016, so grab the box quick.

Enjoy the video!
