Coloring Nuvo Glimmer Paste

Hi friends! In today’s video, I am sharing two fun ways to add coloring to Nuvo Glimmer Paste to create colorful glittery backgrounds. This can be such a fun way to create unique colors for cardmaking projects and stretch your supplies.

For both of the cards, I used Distress Oxide inks to color the Glimmer Paste. Since the Oxides are a dye and pigment fusion, they allow you to get super beautiful and vibrant colors in the pastes.

For the first card, I mixed the Oxide inks directly with the Moonstone Glimmer Paste. This provides super vibrant colors that contrast nicely on kraft cardstock. I finished off the card with a sentiment and fun fall images from the Grateful stamp set.

On the second example, I created an inked background using Oxide inks and the Bevelled Diamond stencil. Then, I applied a thin layer of Glimmer Paste over the top of the colors. The glimmer reflects and sparkles whatever color is beneath it and creates beautiful effects!

I finished the card off with a cute image from the Harvest Mouse stamp set and colored it using Chameleon colored pencils. These colored pencils make coloring and shading so easy with two tips that go together perfectly! I used my DIY Gamsol marker to blend all of the colors and smooth the colored pencil.
