Hey there! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and are enjoying the holiday festivities. I wanted to just pop in quickly and share one final Christmas post before the new year. Today’s video shares 6 cardmaking life hacks to get more use out of your crafty products.

This season I found some great Christian products from Joy Clair and had lots of fun playing with some of their stamps! I recommend them and you’ll definitely see them again next Christmas. 🙂 (P.S. They have a great sale going on right now)!
Here are some of the cards I made using the hacks and stamps:
On the first card, I used the Christmas Wishes stamp set to create an ombre stamped tree.
For the second example, I watercolored and image from the Born Is The King stamp set using Nuvo Mousse. I also used the mousse to accent the handmade Snowdrop Meadow paper background which creates colorful and shimmery results.
On the last card, I used the Three Wise Men stamp set and created a simple yet stunning background with the handmade Coral Confetti paper.

Ok, so the hack about the Blender Solution Pen is SERIOUSLY brilliant! I am ordering TWO pens, one for the alcohol solution and one for gamsol!
Love this video – so many great ideas! Thanks for sharing. BTW, your “Joy Clair” link isn’t working………
Thank you Simon. I learned a lot thru your video, especially changing the color of the mouse. The alcohol pen was a good idea too.
The gamsol in a blender pen is BRILLIANT!
I’ve always had a love-hate relationship with blending stumps/tortillons… love the look of gamsol blended colored pencil but hate the feel of paper scratching against paper (kind of like fingernails on a chalkboard to me.)
I happen to have a couple of the empty blender pens in my stash and will be trying out your tip/hack today! Thanks, Simon!
The cards you made from the video are all lovely. Well done!
Hello Simon, your cards are wonderful and your idea to put the gamsol in the pen is genius! It’s refreshing to see a young person involved in my favorite type of crafting, papercrafts. I’ll be following you to see what other great ideas you come up with and to watch as you grow and delight your audience every step of the way!
Today I tried the Gamsol in the Alcohol Blending Pen for the first time. Thank you, thank you, thank you…. for such a wonderful idea. My hand gets so tired using the colorless pencil. I have used the paper stubs before, but not as successfully. The image I colored today was the best I have ever created with the prismacolors thanks to using this tool. Love your videos!
Awesome tips! I will be utilizing all of these tips in my own card making! Thank you for sharing!
