Hi there! Today I am excited to share more cardmaking life hacks with you to save money. I use all of these hacks and love to share tips and advice to help you save money and use products to the fullest potential. 🙂
Here are the hacks:
DIY Metallic Watercolor – This hack is great to use and create you own shimmery and metallic watercolor! All you need to do is pour some Perfect Pearls into a container with water and let it harden. To activate it, run a brush with water overtop and get to watercoloring. You can even use this on dark cardstocks!
DIY Marker Storage – For this hack, all you need is TP rolls or wrapping paper rolls cut up into smaller little cardboard rolls to fit your container. Then, line them up in a basket and organize your markers in the little rolls. This is awesome because it is portable to bring to your workstation and the markers can be organized by color.
Wink Of Stella Refill – (This one is hard to explain, but shown in detail with the video) All you need to do is take apart your Wink Of Stella and spray some water into the barrel of the pen. This is awesome because it extends the life of the marker and works just as well without having to spend more money.
No Clog, Fine Tip Applicators – These fine tip applicators are an amazing time saver and help use your glue to the fullest potential! I always find that my Glossy Accents are clogged and unusable. However, with these tips they work perfectly every time.
DIY Colored Cardstock – This hack is simple, all you need is something to color and some regular white cardstock. Then, color the edges of the cardstock and add a card panel overtop. This way your cardstock matches your project perfectly and you don’t have to spend money on colored cardstocks!
Bristol Easy Blending Cardstock – I recently found out about Bristol and it is a life changing paper to use on your projects! The paper has a coating on it that gives any water based markers the ease of blending well. Any markers that don’t work for you will work well on this cardstock.

Great job on the video, Simon!
Great ideas. My favorite hack is to use “floss threaders” to thread ribbon, string, yarn….whatever through holes or through any small place. Works great and easy peasy.
A geat video Simon, I’d love to see more money saving tips. TFS!
