Hi there! Today’s video for Brutus Monroe will show you how to add googly eyes, color in stamps like cartoons, and add your own sketching on the images. I love the cartoon style of these stamps and I am excited to show you how to make these wonky reindeer come to life! 🙂
I started out by stamping down all of the reindeer from the Oh, Deer stamp set using Copic friendly ink. Then, I colored all of the images using a variety of different Copic marker shades (the video shows exactly how to color in the reindeer). You can even add dots and texture using a Copic Blender Pen or a white gel pen to add a more cartoony effect.
After coloring, I added a border around the images to make them look like comic superheroes using three shades of Copic markers. If you want to even go a bit further with the comic look, use some black pens to add your own spin on the stamps.
Then, I cut out the images and added some fun googly eyes to add some more wonky features to the deer. I used the sentiment “Oh Deer” and put it in the front deer’s mouth. Finally, I added everything onto the card base using lots of foam tape to add some dimension.
Enjoy the video!
