Hi there! Today I am going back to stamp layering which is one of my favorite techniques. However, I am mixing up the regular color layering families to create a brighter and more abstract looking card. 🙂
For the stamp layering, I decided to use the Scandinavian Prints Christmas stamp set. I love all of the geometric trees in this set and it can be used all year round (not just Christmas)!
I started off by stamping all of the bottom images in a lighter ink and stamping over top of it with a lined image and a darker ink. I picked colors that were not in the same color family, but still went together in the color scheme.
I added the stamped tree trunks in brown to add extra detail and add some darker contrast to all the super bright colors. Then, I trimmed off the sides and added a white embossed sentiment in the center.
To finish off the card, I added some Sweetheart sequins scattered in clusters around the sentiment which adds some shimmer and shine. I am addicted to coming up with weird color combinations and LOVE how this turned out!
