Happy Mother’s Day! In today’s video, I share how to layer stencils on top of each other with ink blending to create unique effects and get more uses out of your supplies.

This technique is so much fun and allows you to get a bit more use out of your stencils. I started with the Flower Maker stencil and blended like normal using the Simon Hurley create. inks! Then, I used the Backsplash stencil which has more detail and placed it on top of the Flower Maker stencil. Applying more ink on top allows the pattern to show through on the flower and get a unique design!
Here is the finished card! This technique can be used with so many different stencils…
On this example, I repeated the same steps and used water for the second layer instead of ink. Since my inks react with water, it creates a beautiful bleached watercolor design!
