Stamping And Coloring A Christmas Scene

Hi there! I love using different stamp sets together to create a fun scene and get a ton of versatility out of stamps. In today’s video, I’m going to show you how to create your own Christmas scene using nontraditional holiday colors and a couple different stamp sets.

I started off by stamping a coloring in all of my images and accessories from the Stocking and Willy And Friends stamp sets from Waffle Flower using Copic Sketch Markers to get a quick shaded and blended effect. I also stamped the stocking using the Chirp Chirp and My Pleasure inks and blending both of the inks from either side of the stamp.

I decided to make it look like the monkeys were raiding their Christmas stocking and found all of their gifts early (NAUGHTY MONKEYS)! 🙂

So, I cut out all of the images and started adding them onto my card overlapping some and popping some up using foam tape. To make it look like the monkeys are holding anything you can loop it in their tail or add it into their hands. I think it’s awesome that the monkey’s accessories are separately added, so you can switch them out and use the monkeys all year long!

I ink blended a background using a doily stencil and Peace Of Mind ink to add a little interest behind the monkeys. Finally, I colored in some shadows below the monkeys so that they are not floating in space like little astronauts

I love how you can change a stamp set to have a Christmas theme just by using a Christmas stamp set along with it and using them together. However, the stamp set we used today can be used all year long and get lots of amazing use!
