For the first card, I used the stencil with Simon Hurley create. inks and blended the layers (video goes into lots of detail). I love that these are stencils rather than stamps because you can create more shading and color variation! I finished the card with a background using the Backsplash stencil and a fun sentiment pun from the Mythical Mermaids stamp set.
We actually included masks for three of the shells in the set which allows for even more versatility and techniques. For the second example, I added my ink directly to the mask, added water, and placed it onto the card. This is a quick and easy way to get beautifully watercolored results without much effort!
I finished off this card by adding a layer of simple blending ontop of the watercolor to add some depth. Then, I added it onto a card base and used Silver Sparkle cardstock for a beautiful border.
